- Welcome to ProxiWeb 3.02a for PalmOS. ProxiWeb is ProxiNet's
- full-featured web browser for handheld computers. Features include:

- o *NEW* Support for mailto tags
- o Icon bar linked to commonly used features
- o Links to Modem and Network Preferences from the
- ProxiWeb Menu
- o Database Versioning for updating old databases

- o Full HTML Forms
- o Browser Cookies
- o Basic client authentication (username/password prompting)
- o SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption for

- o Disconnect command moved to the "Go" pulldown menu
- o Dialing box fix: only need to cancel once when canceling an
- ISP connection
- o Cache expiration: History list is no longer stored in the

- o Ability to install on PalmPilot Professional with limited free
- memory on the device

- INSTALLATION
- ============

- After downloading, unarchive the file into the directory where
- the Palm 'hotsync' software resides. Users of the Palm Desktop
- software will use a directory normally called 'add-on'.
- Install all the files beginning with "PrxWeb".

- UPGRADERS: Installing PrxWebBookmarks.pdb will overwrite existing
- stored bookmarks. To avoid overwriting the current bookmarks, only
- install the PrxWeb302a.prc, PrxWebComm.prc, and PrxWebStatic302a.pdb
- files.

- Now perform a hotsync.

- OBTAINING A SECURITY PROFILE (important!)
- =========================================

- To use the Cookies and SSL features, register a free ProxiWeb Security
- Profile with ProxiNet by visiting http://www.proxinet.com .
- After receiving the username and password via e-mail, go back to the
- ProxiNet site and change the password on the profile account.

- To store the ProxiWeb Security Profile information into the Pilot,
- run ProxiWeb and select the 'Menu' button located next to the Graffiti
- area on the Pilot. Next, tap on 'Prefs' in the pulldown menu bar and
- then select 'Security...' . Enter the username and password into the
- fields provided. The ProxiWeb software has now been enabled to use
- Cookies and SSL connections.
